Getting Involved in Precepting Students

Precepting Students:

Ashley Fairchild “I like being a part of something that is going to be successful and prominent in Arkansas.”
-Ashley Fairchild, Depew, OK

Precepting/ Supervising PA students on clinical rotations is a rewarding experience.  Students are assigned for 5 weeks for the required clinical rotations which include family medicine, internal medicine outpatient, hospital medicine, pediatric medicine, general surgery, women’s health, emergency medicine, behavioral medicine, orthopedic medicine, and geriatric medicine. There are elective rotations for 3 weeks each in all the other disciplines of medicine.

Preceptors may request a student every rotation, every other rotation or a couple of times a year.  For more information about precepting PA students or to express interest in precepting, please contact us.
